CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the CSIR NET Exam should make sure they meet all of the qualifying requirements. If they do not meet the NTA’s eligibility requirements, their application will be denied at any stage of the examination. The following are the CSIR NET Exam eligibility criteria:

To apply for the CSIR NET Exam, a candidate must be an Indian citizen.
CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit
To apply for JRF, you must be at least 28 years old. For reserved category applicants (SC/ST/PwD and female candidates), the upper age limit is eased by up to 5 years, and for OBC candidates by up to 3 years. The age restriction for lecturing is not set. The following are the age restrictions that have been relaxed:

CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a B.Pharma, BE, B. Tech, MSc, MBBS, Integrated BS-MS, or any other scientific degree with a minimum of 55 percent. Candidates who fall under the reserved category get a 5% mark reduction.
- Candidates in their last year of postgraduate studies are also eligible to take the test.
- Candidates who have completed a B.Sc. or are enrolled in an Integrated MS-PhD programme and have received a minimum of 55 percent are eligible to apply.
Subject-wise Eligibility Criteria for CSIR NET

Chemical Science | Have an M.Sc./BS/B-Tech degree in Chemistry or an equivalent certification in Chemistry with the requisite percentage shown above. |
Earth Science | Within the necessary qualifying conditions, earned an M.Sc./BS-MS/BS-4 Years/B-Pharma or any similar degree in the area of Earth Science. |
Mathematics | To satisfy the qualifying criteria, you must have earned an M.Sc./BS-MS/BS/B-Tech or an equivalent degree in the subject of mathematics. |
Physical Science | Have a valid M.Sc. Physics, BS-MS in Physics, or any comparable degree within the requisite percentage of time. |
CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria: Number of Attempts
There is no limit on how many times applicants may take the CSIR NET Exam as long as they meet the qualifying requirements listed above.
